Did they not teach u that in school? I thought it was basic practice.

Its quite simple really, start off with personal information, schools/college/universities you have attended, grades you achieved (diplomas, degree's or basic course certificates), and gather up any comments your tutors wrote about you, a little bit like a reference, and recent disclosures.

Please keep the most relevant, recent achievements/job roles at the top, I interview a lot in my role and CV's in this format stand much more of a chance of moving to the next stage, remember some jobs have hundreds of applicants and things like the above, grammer, spelling etc are vital or they get filed in the bin!!
Do not use fancy coloured paper, paper that is too thick/heavy or anything that sticks out too much, no photos on them (unless specifically asked).
Some people think that this will get them noticed, it does, but for the wrong reasons...

Good luck

Perfect Advice.
I interview on a daily basis and must see about 80Cvs a Day.

I would also alter your CV depending on the job your applying for. Put in as much relevant information for that role as possible and remove things that they wont want to see.
Do not use an odd text format as it will look poor and will prob end in the bin.
the ideal format i prefer is

Name
Address
Personal Statement
Employment (MOST RECENT FIRST.no one wants to read about your paper-round at 13 lol)
Education
References

If you want.....send me what you have done and i will look at it for you

Unimaginative and not very creative

Just kidding.... how about something like: A quick learner who is able to work as part of a team or as an individual with good communications skills.

Its your chance to really sell yourself so just go for it with your guns blazing
