Default would you feel the difference with 15's?

got a s2 escort rs. had it for like 6 months now. always had 17's on. but just wondering if i put the standard 15's on, would i feel the difference in performance (on pull)

Yeah 100% mate. Probably much nicer/nippier feeling. Just swapped my 17's on my 3dr, for the std 15", and its the best thing ive done to it since last year! so much more driveable than before.

Can agree with this, had 17s on my mk4 for about a week for MOT, then put some 15inch standard wheels on and it felt loads bettter.

Yes, seems to turn in nicer too with smaller wheels (obviously if they're not as wide as the 17s)

yep, the best thing i did was put original 15"s back on my 3 door!!(it was on 17"s when i got it)

totally transformed it!

Totally. If your brave, and are willing to try something that everyone hasn't done, get some 8x15's. Then get some 215/45/15 tyres and keep the extra width that you'd get with 17's.

cool sweet. gna change them over next couple weeks for a bit. i do like my 17's though. they really rare ford wheels.
and then run my car at the pod

depends on how much power you have.

sounds obvious but make sure that the brakes arent too big for the wheels to go on

to pull off small wheels i think you've got to have a nice profile tyre and no massive arch gaps from high suspension.

that amount of cars i see on standard wheels that look smart when they have 4 passengers in is growing.

beach buggy tyres and a high ride height look dreadful.
