has anyone suffered from severe bicept tendonitis?
just wondering if anyone has had bicept tendonitis or bicept tendon rupture, i have suffered with this for years now (think its more of a rupture), well partly becuase the NHS gave me no physical examinations so its dragged on for a couple of years more after they sent me into nerve departments to see if it was my nerves that were playing up. so i decided to see a physio but in certain cases it wont cure it, so an operation is what ill have to have.
its my short head tendon which is the problem just under my armpit, im just curious who has had this? symptons are cant drive for long, weakness - i.e hard to turn a key or screwdriver and immense pain!

not had it in the shoulder but I've had chronic tendonitis on both sides of my elbow (golf elbow and tennis elbow) both at once. I believe it was due to excessive working out in the gym. my muscles were up to lifting the weights but my tendons couldn't take it, so i have to be very careful these days.
was extremely painful when i moved my wrist or arm in certain ways for quite a while, but I had a couple of steroid injections into the tendon/joint, which although they hurt even more seem to have sorted the problem pretty much.

yep.
as the doc gave me the injection he was explaining that apparently it's caused by the tendons getting partially torn and then healing back up as a scar.
the needle started making a shocking creaking noise once it was an inch or so into my arm which apparently meant he had got the right place for the steroid to be injected. hurt like fuck as he was moving the needle about to make sure he got the whole scar or something or other. i'm very keen to avoid having one of those again!
