Right ive just bought some bits for my car, just some sideskirts, leccy window motor, wingmirrors etc, BUT......Im useless and i cant fit them!!
I was just wondering if there was anywhere i could take it where they would fit the bits for me, as its not really a mechanic job is it?
Please help im really stuck!!!

in an hour on a good day... if nothing goes wrong

 

To do the mirrors the door cards need to come off, and you need a trim removal tool. If you don't the door card will come off and the plastic door pockets will still be attached to the door. Trust me...

Oh, and the motors are riveted on.

 

half of that is rubbish.. the mirros have a seperate plastic cover for the bolts... no card removal..
the door pokets are screwed on.. in some cases clipped on... in most screwed.... and as for the motor.. yes they are riveted on... thats why i have a rivet gun and a small place atachment for it... just for those types of jobs...
easy...

 

If they're electric the wiring plug is behind the trim panel.

The door pockets are stuck, repeat STUCK, to the rear of the trim, I learnt this the hard way.

 

ive never come across stuck ones?? i think i must hae pulled over 5 or 6 off by now... oh well the mystery continues..
as for the mirrors.. i just cut and solder the wires and the shrink wrap them with heat proof coating

 

You on about door trims in general or on BMW's?

Easiest ones I've done were on my old Escort, worst were on a '99 Skoda.
