The feedback system and people on Ebay pisses me right off why do sellars insist on waiting until you've left them rosey feedback until they leave you some even though you have paid quickly and done your half of the agreement before hand?

I've been on Ebay since 2001 and it seems everyone these days is doing this. Still haven't got feedback from one seller i left for an item purchased in december and some guy has emailed me to tell me an item has been sent today and please leave feedback when it arrives and he will do the same. Why the fuck can't i have it now as i've done my bit? My mrs sold a car on there last year and the woman buying it came up with a familly issue 'excuse' but insisted she wanted it but asked for more time so as my partner had another car it was fine with her to leave it on the drive, anyway at the end of a month another excuse came so we just put up bad feedback and the buyer did so in revenge and spoiled my girlfriends feedback even though she bent over backwards for her.

Personally if selling and people have paid quickly i always left feedback straight away but what do you guys do when buying and selling? Do you leave feedback quickly or wait in case they leave you bad etc?

i think ebay should change their system for sellers having to leave feedback first and buyers cannot leave feedback until a seller has.

sellers retaliate far too easily to a buyers neg

so I pay, wait 3 weeks, item doesnt come, i give a neg, seller then goes and says something fucking out of this world like total idiot do not deal with or something stupid.

ebay is a minefield, totally dis-interested in providing a safe fair enviroment, they only care about collecting their % of your money by the time paypal have had thier chunk after listing fees and final value fees its close to 10% sometimes

So thats gives the buyer the right to totally fuck over the seller. I get shit feedback now and again and i can counteract it by leaving then a neg. I mean if a buyer buys the item, pays, recieves the item, then leaves a neg cause of postage charges, how is that my fault? Also what about if the buyer took say 3 weeks to pay when i state 1 week max? how is a seller suppose to add that to there history? I feel many sellers on ebay will be banned soon when there neutral/neg quota go over the limit recently setup.

please explain this the opposite way? you take 3 weeks to pay, like many buyers do, so i neg you for that and state that, but i send the item the next day. Are you going to leave me a ?

yeah theres been uproar on the ebay forums as it makes it an unfair playing field imo. USA has already got it in place, and its not gone down well. I know some sellers will neg a buyer that leaves a genuine negative for the seller, but if there a genuine then one neg dosn't matter. It only takes a couple of unhappy buyers and your average seller will be banned as there proformance will be under this new level.

Well whenever I have sold things I haven't been a total wally and always pay my items within a day or two ALWAYS.

I just don't like the retaliation feedback from sellers or buyers for that matter but since I always seem to be buying I can't comment on the proposition the other way round but I can see it from a sellers point of view as well. 3 weeks to pay, drag it out, leave a neg for not paying and no comms etc then buyer leaves a neg like poor seller

that would seriously get on my tits as well but i've always found sellers being arses more than buyers apart from one arse who hasnt paid for one of my items now and its been a week and a half and he has 3 feedback comments 2 of which are neg for not paying

i never leave feedback as a seller until the buyer has left it for me that way you dont get cock ends leaving you negative because they think you have charged them an extra quid on postage

as for the new feedback coming in in may no longer allowwing sellers to leave neutral or negative feeback for buyers...well i dont think i will be using ebay for selling parts

if you've won the auction then payment should be made within 24/48 hours no questions. if you can't do this - dont bid. if payment is not made within this timeframe ebay should neg the buyer. the seller should then send pos feedback for buyer and the buyer then has the prerogative to send whateever feedback they see fit. why is it currently so complicated?

pisses me off too when a buyer assumes the right to send feedback AFTER they get feedback

the only time i have left neg feedback is when i made the mistake of clicking hte bu it nw button (it was a fairly simple mistake)

i emailed the seller stating tha ti had bought the wrong item but, if it was neccesary, that i would buy it but i would rather pay his relisting fees and be happy with that

for 5 weeks the guy never got back to me

then he reported me to ebay

so after 8 attempts to contact a seller what else are you suppoed to do?

i've always made the point of logging on at least once a day to see how things are going and to get updates on stuff so that i can say i always keep myself on my toes, but if ebay is going to stop sellers leaving neg then i think the sellers will stop selling

it only takes 1 neg to ruin your rep and no matter how many eople say it's not the case, an unblemished record is somethng worth keeping

wth this in mind i don't sell stuf on ebay, only buy

Exactly with the amount of nob ends on ebay now days that will leave negative feedback because you didnt refund them the 50p extra you made on postage is unbelievable or THEY weren't in when the courier came so "IT'S YOUR FAULT" they had to wait for a re-delivery or collect it from the depot

I ALWAYS leave feedback as a seller AFTER the buyer has left it for me due to the simple fact some people will give you negative feedback for the most stupid reason

I have 100% feedback and im proud of it ,,shame 90% of ebay users are total wankers and dont give a shit about feedback as they just change there name

Doing away with giving neg feedback is great imo , as it will put a lot of people of using ebay and then the countries businesses will maybee get back on there feet taxes will get paid and your council tax etc may stop going up all the time because the tax man will be getting money from the business man again

Like it or not , the dole wankers who buy and sell on ebay all day and make more money than you lot who work for a living arnt putting anything back into the pot , you may think fook the business man who is making money ,,but at least we are paying taxes etc that goes back into the pot and helps pays the dole wankers money every week so he can pay his listing fees
