Sprinter 208d help
Hi folks,
Just wondered if anyone knew anything about Merc sprinters? I need to change the glo-plug relay on mine, but can't get my hands on a manual to find out where it is.
Its a non-turbo diesel model from about 1999 (can't remember the exact date as it has an irish plate on it)
Thanks,
Sean..

there you go
Glow plug relay is usually fitted directly underneath the battery tray. To access you have remove the headlight.
I'm told it usually costs about Ł50.
The relay is on the Drivers side engine bulkhead a small black box. You can start the engine without the the relay working by squirting a small amount of easy start in the air filter before turning the engine over.

I wouldn't keep using easy start (or cocaine as we call it) as they seem to get addicted to it and need it every time to get it running!!
Also, the glow plug relay is situated at the side of the battery tray or below it depending on which year and has 2 plugs on it IIRC. One plug will have 4 thick wires (for each glow plug).
