Default ..try it again for the true petrol heads UPDATED

...i am not posting to brag about my new addition i am merely posting for the true petrol heads...and i have MANY questions for the rally boys

So to start off its a non sunroof sapphire 4x4 motorsport, this is an early shell as FIA regulations were bolt in cages only,so this has a full comprehensive cage or monkey climbing frame straight thru to the turrets.Seats/harnesses all in date so ready to rally MSA log book aswell and 11months mot and taxed!...its not mint of course but no major dents its done a few gravel/forest rallys..paint needs doin if i wanted to make it nice but TBH a rally car aint sposed to be mint is it,surely that reyland Escos shows it aint used? I will just graphic it up in my taste

So inside we have hydraulic handbrake, Sparco Rev or whatever buckets with 5 point harnesses, dash is std Sierra and only the rev counter and temp gauge working...but in the centre we have fuel pressure, oil pressure, water temp, boost pressure gauges with an array of switches for turning things off and on!Brake bias knob...Nice fuse boxes on show too Bias pedal box,Other than that oh and the navigators foot rest...its pretty much just bars and a helmet box along with the lifeline fire extinquisher setup all in operation for cockpit and engine bay fires at a pull of a lever!

Running gear is MT75 box not sure if modded but nice gear change with a paddle clutch which is a bit on off so not good in traffic ...3.9-1 ratio diffs however thats done, std rear diff, std front diff which is strengthed apparently

Suspension is 909 bilstein coilovers with Grp a engine mounts..cant confirm anything else as i aint looked but whatever a rally car has its got Wheels are OZ racing mags 15inch remember its a gravel car so they ran 15's

Sump guarded

Engine is a freshly built one..YB of course with a 200 motorsport block..8-1 comp ratio and 2wd head with the 4x4 cooling setup, long studded with a grp a head gasket, std cams,4x4 inlet system with a fresh T3 turbo with 34mm restrictor with grey injectors...nothing special but it was on 0 miles but now on 170 miles No mickey mouse setup here all proper aeroquipped for safety, all brake/fuel lines in car...competition exhaust.

Fuel system is the alloy fuel tank in boot with swirl pot and 044 grp a pump

The car is Grp N + spec really nothing too fancy but for £4500 i think an utter bargain considering a rebuild of an engine is what 3-4k IF you have a donor engine!!!!To drive even on gravel spec you can feel its meant to go fast and not slow ...its about as raw as you can get and what an experience,i really didnt know what to expect but its a world apart from a road cosworth in every way!...i reckon with the gravel billies and a set of tarmac tyres this car is gonna fly..

What i dont advise is driving home in the dark with a dodgy battery and no fuel gauge in rush hour 160 miles from home in a car that is not meant to go slow and having never experienced a rally car before..but i was 100% legal

Phil, what are you going to use it for? You say it's gravel spec, does that mean with some tarmac rims (say some 17" compomotives) and super sticky tyres (888's or something) you could have some track fun too?

Or does it need a lot more changes to suspension and stuff?

I'd imagine removing the restrictor and moving the power band further up the rpm's would be better if you're gonna track it.

It's fook all money, and I reckon with a few changes it'll be a nice track weapon.

I will just graphic it up in my taste
oh fook

But that would suggest he gets lucky with said school girls. Maybe tinted front windows would be better?

Looks cool Phil!

If you ever need it, I have an identical Saph roll cage for sale on Ebay shortly!

Seeing as it's all in date can you let me know the spec of the cage? Like who makes it / model or whatever? Any stickers on it (not scruitineering ones!) ?

Need to know what to advertise it as.

See you on track soon I hope!!!

I was genuinely interested, just wondered if you intended to do some kind of motorsport or track days in tarmac spec.

So i have now had a good look round it...everything looks different to me around the front especially. .........Body work is good really a bit of TLC needed..no dents just need a rear bumper really as thats damaged abit..every other panel is good..rear arches aint bad either!..I noted the bumpers are quick release to!..inside is the first job ..strip it out and repaint it with smoothrite i think and replace broken/missing bits...change gauges round to match..get dash board fully working too!..Oh and must get a timer thing installed too for my non existant navigator ..next up will be changing wheels to tarmac spec and big brakes up front i think ..then go over engine...oil change etc....Exterior will get done last as i want a good paint scheeme....Bosch Motorsport graphics etc..then use it

..i do love the wheels they look right...but only cause of the forest tyres..which are 195/65 ...if i put 205/50's on it may look gay..but i could then lower it i guess ..i love the wheel and would only get a bigger version of the magnesium type..must have mags as my Duke and NSR have them

This is mine, sorry about the pic, old, small and not very good!

It needs to be treated to a coat of primer and then off onto Ebay with it!

Tim or anyone else that knows-> is this a 3dr cage or a Saph one? Was bought to go in my Saph, from a Saph owner.
