Default will a standard 200 block

be ok with a standrd 2wd head or is there any mods needed

the compression will be slightly lower than 8.1.. because of the crown of the 4x4 piston... but if the 2wd heads been skimmed in the past then it will proably be around 7.8- 8.1??? It doesnt increase so you'll be fine.

actually I might got it round the wrong way... As i used a 200 block and 2wd pistons, components .. Please ignore what i said as i can't remember if the compression is altered on the 4x4 engine with the piston or the head..

Ok right i remember,,

2wd head on a 200 block that has 4x4 pistons in it = lower compression 7.8-8.1

2wd head on 200 block with 2wd pistons = standard 8.1. = -/+ .1

Just out of interest is it going in a 2wd car?? cos u'll need a 2wd oil pickup and sump unless u do some slight bending.

As above, no problems really, just drops the compression sligthly.

The only other difference of any consequence really is the mount for the turbo hanger.
