hi i bought the TOSHIBA EQUIUM A200-1VO laptop from pc world ( it's the 400 quid one on the pc world advert at the moment) it seems to be working ok but so far ive only used it when it was plugged in and i used the laptop for the first time today unplugged and the battery ran out in half an hour now this is my first laptop but im guessing it should last for a lot longer than that! theres was no instructions for its first charge so i charged it until the battery indicator said 100% and unplugged it. Could anyone help me i.e how long they charged theres first time or any other tips. p.s its on balaced mode for battery life

 

Batteries sometimes take a few charges and discharges to get fully conditioned.

I just run mine with it plugged in all the time

 

Mine lasts about 50 minutes. 95% of the time mine is connected to the mains. Leave your one plugged in for a while to give the battery a full charge.

 

Mine lasts about 2-3 MINUTES, good old ebay bargains

Nuts, if you use urs plugged in all the time, remove the battery now, or u will frazzle it, ie it wont hold charge AT ALL as they have a memory

 

Thats what I meant, plugged in no battery.

When I need it it lasts about 2 hours depending on what Im doing.
