FAO Escort/XR4 etc owners still running K-Jet
Latest PPC mag has an interesting article on modifying K-Jet managment, a lot of stuff I didnt know about, nice n interesting.
TBH the whole thing smacks of "fuck that, just put EFI on it" but some good stuff if you good with spanners, dont mind some effort, and dont wanna spend any money.
Two cool things are a couple of cars the owners knocked up some insane K-jet setups for.
An A-series mini engine running a cooper S supercharger, and Mk2 golf GTI k-jet and inlet manifold is one, and best of all is a 924 turbo running TWIN k-jet, ie 8 injectors and 2 metering heads
If its like most the mag its gonna have loadsa niggly innacuracies, but its well interesting either way

trouble with PPC is they spend a lot of time bodging old systems onto old engines, or just doing things DIY and ending up with nothing special that will be LOADS of hassle WHEN it goes wrong, when it would have cost the same/ a few hundred more to put in somthing far more modern and useful and user friendly . Good mag, but they have some very strange ideas....

PPC is the best ever, they do indeed have some mad idea's, mostly for thier own cars.
The best bit is they do things no other mag(that I know) will do, such as testing the new breed of BIO fuels(more soon).
The whole basis of PPC is to save you money, by giving you alternative ideas.
There will I'm sure next year be a feature on a cossie(2wd) comparing power/torque on LPG versus PETROL(v power), with the same ecu running both systems after being mapped on both.
They are also considering re introducing an old feature from the CCC days, where they asses and set up a "HANDLING CLINIC", but you did not hear that from me, SSHHHH!!
Interestingly next door to Emerald is a RACE CAR PREP unit!!
