Went to the japshow yesterday and saw andy barnes skyline run 9s allday and looks like it could go quicker Got me thinking will we ever see a cossy road car in this country run 9s And i dont mean some tubbed back end drag car Now 200mph has been done will the tuners turn there attentions to this

Yeh me to, looked at andys skyline yesterday and it looked nothing like last year it had been on a proper diet,just got me thinking that the cossy lads dont seem to take weight saving as serious all seem to run standard panels(doors bumpers tailgates) everyone just seems to strip interiors and thats it

Once I get the cossie engine finished and in the back of this then it should not be a problem

yes i do know hadlands car is no more. he crashed about four months ago and news has just reached us now cant wait for the new car, a cosworth has to win something the likes of ten of the best to put us back on top

jon i am leaving as much out of mine as i can ..no heater wiring loom out of a 1.3 base model stripped to the minimum...no abs perspex windows etc etc i,m hoping to get it to around 1200kg

jon ill prob be fitting f/glass or kevlar bonnet/bootlid and bumpers

i dont want to reduce the circumference of the wheel/tyre combination as this would mean using7thgear on the 1/4 which would obviously slow me with the extra gearcahnge

but if i do decide to get serious about the 1/4 mile stuff i will fit 16 or 17"rims with higher profile drag tyres to allow some sidewall flex on the launch

also fitting soft rear suspension would help as i use the same setup for tackdays ....so i,m not really trying that hard on the 1/4...yet

its quite a mission for me coming down south to get a few runs on a drag track ....whereas at my local one i dont even have to q anymore as i have reached celebrity status ...i tell them when i want to go

Would love to see Kevs car at the pod. It did wonders for the CRD car. Was funny as fook to see it burn up at the start line as he thought Kevs car was "just" another Escort he could burn off easily I'm sure Kev ain't building a slower car

fair play to you i dont think i would go all the way up there for 30secs of motorsport ie 3 runs cos thats all you will get at pod theres to many people there i did north vs south but i was never going to travel up there
