Yep..... it`s a Trakker alright,but a bloody old one..

Most of the old style ones aren`t supported anymore though,so it won`t work...

erm sorry for possibly sounding a little thick but why in the heck would you want to GET RID of a tracker?

and have you checked that it isn't active so that ripping it out might actually alert the tracker people?

Because I have no idea what company its from so even if it did work I wouldn't be able to activate it, I bet the guy I bought it from didn't even know about it either! Nothing in the history about it etc..

Its prob one of those things that used to alert you via a pager if your car was been tampered with

M8 had one on a GTE astra years ago,had a 1 mile range IIRC

It`s from the Jurassic period that`s why......

It`s a genuine Trakker from the Trakker company, but it`s fookin prehistoric......

It worked on the old Analogue cell network for activation and that system is now defunct......

if it's not registered and active it won't work
they use sim cards, same as phones, nowadays so you need to have a contract for it etc etc, the same as a phone

if it's old school then it's probably been fitted and forgotten or soemone hasn't kept it going

ebay is a great place to put it though

Trackers are only active if you keep up the subscription, plus thats an old tracker, and if I'm right its a TRAKBAK which didn't take off and is no longer Police supported.

Jay could be right, but i reckon it`s more likely to be rival wheel manufacturers recording how many visits you make to Compomotive HQ...

I had the very same thing on my saph, i binned it earlier this year, it was really well hidden under the passenger side of the dash by the ECU!!

Oh, and the very sharp metal mounting bracket rubbed on the wiring loom, shorted out and almost caused the car to catch fire!!!
