Yeh i know but the bits cost more. And its a toyota. I used to work for toyota. When i think of toyota i think of a grey haired old bugger who is about 80 year old,and drives wearing a flat cap and smoking a pipe.

Silly cheap to insure them, and autobox good for 600 bhp

Came close to getting one, but UK spec is a better car.
That one seems cheap considering mileage.

I wasnt keen on them until I see one, that looked fucking LOVELY.. no spoiler, decent rims, and standard looking but must have been biggish bhp!

Went past me quicker than the thrust SSC and sounded amazing... But I never seen any other good ones

Sorry I'd much rather have a Cosworth than a Supra. The Supra may be a fantastic car but it does nothing for me.

I Love these cars!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chuck an uprated torque converter in there then the sky is the limit really with gearbox

Can get soooooooo much bang for your money but they are not to everyones taste though.

Personally id hold out for a TT manual, but they normally cost a little more though.

Any more q's drop me a pm i can talk about these things all day long

my mate/mechanic has a lexus gs300 vertex(basically a merc with the supra twin turbo engine) hes tuned it to over 500bhp and he swears by it,and hes had many cossies,323 turbos, works on rx7s,scoobys,evos etc

he worked for toyota/lexus for years and always advises any customers after a new car to buy a toyota as they dont break down

as i write this he is on his way back from cardiff with another 300 vertex to strip out for knockhill so time will tel against a few others on track

but what you get for that kind of money is great, you wouldnt of got a pulsar for that a few years ago

although id never sell my cossie

Ive had all sorts over the years but for some reason since the first time i saw one in 1990 when i was 15, the 2wd sapph cossie is the only car thats ever really done anything for me, ive even had an RS500 but they all get sold.
My lateast subaru impreza was a great car, just jump in, do a track day and dont even open the bonnet, drive to work in comfort and safe in the knowledge that halfway round the next bend you can accelerate out the other side without the arse end touching both sides of the road and taking 2 years off your life. BUT i just find them boring, the power delivery in a DECENT cossie is brutal and ive not found any other car that gives you the same expirience for the money, even the money you spend on the old crate you somehow justify and on any other car you just wouldnt bother. Dont think i will ever sell mine, sad eh.

i agree there are a lot better cars out there for the money ,
but they just have no sole , like a cosworth does ( well for me any way )
i will one day have a jap car for a daily driver , but i will allways have my cosworth sat in my garage , to bring out when i want a thrill
