Hmm so the std blacktop sump is lower than the silver top 1800 sump then.
I really didn't expect that will have to get the tape measure out tomorrow now lol

well, if you think its prob from a mondeo, which has a sub frame and different arrangement,
the bowl part of the sump is onthe other side of the engine is it not?
so iirc, you need a escort/fiesta 1600/1800 sump
no mondeo sump will fit due to clearence

the blacktop engines use a diff sump arrangement to the silver top
the exhaust goes the bowl of the black top is in the same place as the bowl from a silver top 1.8 escort will have a measure tomorrow to be sure but it looks the same
