if you look on pf mate iv posted my full rebuild, my engine has only covered 400 miles as besides the block all is new, the biggest thing i found from coming from my s2 was just how smooth the power delivery is on a evo and fantastic handling but fook me do they eat fuel..lol
enjoy it pal!

this was put up on MLR for comparisons they rated a evo 2 being on par with a standard cossie, until you come to bends..

EVO2.... 260 BHP, 1255 KG, 210.50 PER TON, 0/60 4.78, 0/100, 12.98, 60/100, 8.2. STG QTR, 13.52 AT 102.04.

ESCORT COSSIE.... 227BHP, 1304KG. 176.87 PER TON, 0/60 5.60, 0/100, 15.72, 60/100, 10.12. STG QTR, 14.37 AT 95.61.

just for info guys not a debate

Good first steps for sure - mine is around 320-340bhp and goes well, but having raced AndyR's Evo 8 at Croft, 380bhp goes even better!

So far, the best mod I've done on mine is change to sticky tyres... switching from Falken 452s to Toyo R888s has transformed it on the road and track.

Any track plans for it? They work superbly out on the track

If you haven't already, get yourself on to the MLR - www.lancerregister.com and read up on there and get signed up to the Club, Very useful website

just abit of advice guys on prices, if you bought a evo 4 for Ł4k you would probably be buying it with crankwalk and or ringland failure , all evo,s from 1 to 4 suffer this the only way around this is to buy a mint one and get it fully rebuilt with the latest pistons you can get! thats why they sell better from 5 onwards as from that point mtsubishi fixed the problem with diff pistons and main bearings

Is it true you have to service them every 4000 miles and if so why?

Crowder Very nice example mate walbro fuel pump and ecutek remap will have you grinning big time, mine felt loads better with a wee bit more boost

SiB are the R888's really worth the extra money for the road? i need some new tyres come the new year and these are a definite option, as its only used as a toy now much you pay for a set of them? and where from?
