Default insurance pay out on a stolen car

ok its been a few weeks since i had my S1 nicked, and today i had to send keys and log book plus all associated paperwork off to the insurance company

does anybody know how long it takes from this stage to get my payout as the insurance company wont give me an answer, not even a rough one

and i have seen a car i want

depends if they value the car the same as you
in my experiance they can knock back your valuation and then
wait and see if you buckle at their low offer.
if its aggreed value your laughing

stay on them, they have a habbit of shelving cases.

As there is no 3rd party i would be asking for time scales and asking what procedures have to be taken there end and how long each takes, then call at regular intervals to make sure all is on track.

Was the value agreed, and that is not just how much you said your car was worth when taking out the policy, has to be an agreed value between you both.
