New or old S4? Cos if it's the new one (4.2V8 jobbie) then I doubt you'll break it - ever

If it's the older 2.7 V6 Bi-Turbo, then you unlikely to break that either

Have to agree with that!

Spent about 2 hours caning one around a field in first, on the limiter all the time, and then steam poured out the engine bay! Was an awesome car.

Until it got wrote off...

I have one... best car i have ever owned or driven

Pretty quick for a german tank... 265bhp / 295lb-ft. 4 wheel drive etc etc. Get a facelift 99 onwards, can tell by a couple of differences on the external look. Common problems includes water pump and boost leaks.

Pop over to RS246.com, thats were i got all my info on these cars.

Here's mine.... Pics are crap, taken with my phone....

Quite happily keep up with a stage one cossie, put a chip in and get over 300bhp easily.
The tuning scope is huge!

have said this before on here a few months back, https://passionford.com/forum/viewto...highlight=audi

but updated now,

had just over a year, just done 104K

so far cost me £300 for a service

set of plugs £60

rear pads £13

brake hose £7

hazard light relay £32

1 court apperance £460

and about 2 billion quid in petrol 17mpg avg

standard 265bhp, £500 for a remap should see 310/320bhp, more power after that and your talking 1000s, so IMO dont bother save up, sell it and get an RS4

love the car to bits, as it goes well, stopping needs improving

look for the slightly facelifted models 99 onwards, plenty of service history and receipts.

and get over to www.rs246.com
