why was the parking brake not applied?and then there are the foot brakes.and then the chocks (regardless of correct fitment there should be a fair few),hmmmmm...either this is a REEEEAAAALLY bad mistake or the story differs slightly from the title.

probably not that fast with all the weight behind it plus the thrust off the engines

trust me i have seen the fastest passenger aircraft in the world (vc10) at max chat on many occasions and they dont set off quickly!
have also seen them at full throttle on the tubes (where engine runs are done) many times as i was an aircraft mechanic,and not once did i ever see one move from the parking brake alone,let alone the chocks!

It was an engine test, most likely there were NO pilots on board, only test crew.

theyd probably salvage a lot of that plane. maybe stbd engines ok dependint on what was ingested!!

yeah no look like a jumbo!! doesnt look like a 707 either unless theyve done an undate with wing tips??? its not some airbus thingy is it??
