nope, but been told not too, ive completely gone of cometic gaskets and wont use one again

Use cometic on my whole cossie engine, with no issue's.


not tried any on CVH's.

This is the exhaust manifold I am talking about, not the head gasket.

I need an exhaust manifold gasket that allows for bigger exhaust port sizes, not sure if the Cometic does, or can be ported. The standard gasket can't.

yeah, and at a guess the CVH exhaust mani gasket will be the same material as a YB ex mani gasket, which has been fine on my cossie.

but as for port sizing, i can't help.

but i used to make Ex mani gaskets for cvh's years ago, using marine grade exhaust gasket material.

might be worth a try assuming its not the end of the world to do the job again if it fails....

Ask the seller the temp range of the material's.


but your only get 1 out of a sheet, unless you asked for 350-400mm wide.

The guy that made the flange has the DXF file for it and said that he can probably cut the gasket too. I would probably try and buy enough material so that I can get 4 or 5 gaskets. Should be enough to last forever!

It's just a case of finding the best type of gasket materal to start with.
