Or something like its in his dads name with him as a named driver maybe?

cant just be a normal quote from a normal company!

With no fucking no claims discount!

I would imagine its milage limited, but thats not a problem to most folks with ferraris.

Quite believe it. My brother is 29 and he pays LESS THAN HALF on his 355 spyder than he did on an E46 M3 Convertible..

Ferrari is on 5000 miles limited policy...

Considering at 20 with No NCD and 3 points I can get insured on a 13k Escort Cosworth for £1020 with 13000 miles a year, it doesn't suprise me!

I know its not a Ferrari but its one hell of a quote.

My Chaser, a 2.5litre twin turbo 150mph+ car as standard, with all mods declared (ie as a 2.6litre twin turbo 400bhp stripped out RWD weapon), is only 45quid more to insure than a standard Sierra GLX for me.

Thought as much

Ive always said i will have one one day, just need to get the house paid off first . Buying the car wont be a major major problem (have to be second hand though) but the service and repairs is the killer by the sounds of it.

Whats it like then? owning one, and how does it compare to driving your cossie about?

Pics please

BakerP....its a proper car although Ford owners will argue this I choose the 348 over the 355 (not because i couldnt afford one) because of the simplicity like no power steering no traction control no fancy bits..as more to go wrong...my one runs 2 ecu's so effectively 2 engines which i think is a good get you home item ..not to mention 20k cheaper so to weigh it up i felt the 348 had better looks providing you put the spacers on to get the same track as the challenge model which really improves the handling...you can get her sideways under full control its great...not overly fast 320bhp V8 with 7800rpm redline mine is chipped and decatted with sports exhaust...so sounds awesome....0-60 about 5.2 secs and 175mph top speed

on a 348/f355/360 the engine normally comes out if it needs a belt change!

early ferraris do fall apart,

Yes engine needs to come out 4 hours max according dealer i bought mine off
belts were done 3 months ago at a total cost of £1600!!!.. T
hats a full service mine
only need doing every 3 years although most do them at 2 years..

I had my Escort 3 years and the engine was out twice

Thx Phil i have just fitted pedals and the alloy surrounds
plus i got the modified gate for the gearchange..

I do notice that the handling is a bit nervous so the spacers smooth is all out??

Phil what size spacers did you get in the end?
