I was the same - was on Win98 for ages until I switched to XP!

Same here I was on 98 till about 3yrs ago - spent 6months on Win2k then XP when I got a new pooter

I will try Vista, but wanna get a lappy that can handle it first, just to play with it before making the full time switch to it on my main PC...

Vista Home premium. Its average. Not any better than XP except the media centre, but you can have this with xp mce 2005
