Xp Pro here
Does all I want it to and very nicely to thanks
Taken me years to err collect together all the little progs I like to use for things, probs half wouldnt work on 64 bit and dont see the point going Vista 32 bit, even bigger progs like Nero aint meant to work half as well on Vista
Might do a dual boot like someone else is running tho, just to see what its like and when eventually get all the progs I want to work on it then will make the transistion smoother, when IM ready

Laptop i'm on is a triple boot of Linux, Vista and XP but only because it came with Vista. I don't use it as its utter shit. Sure it looks better than XP which will please those people who want the I-phone just for the touchy scroley screen but it is far worse than XP and miles off Linux. Things crash or refuse to close on it and some things still don't work on it yet.
Thing that annoys me most though is how they tried to copy a Linux feature again (big shock) in the way it asks for root password when you install or do something except Vista just bugs you to press continue two or three times so what's the point?
Most on Vista will be because they first used Windows and are scared/lazy to try other things. Fair enough but when they tell you its good you have to laugh.
If its so good why do they constantly rip things off for IE7 and windows from Firefox and Linux, which are free? People who pay for it must be on bostik.

got vista ultimate here at work, along with xp pro, redhat and ubuntu.
At home for Windows even though I have a license for Vista Ultimate there is no chance I would run it, XP Pro is the far superior (Windows) OS at the moment.
