No. It isn't a genuine RS500. Nice car it is, but that money buys a genuine mint one with all paperwork and correct numbers (and colour). All IMHO of course................

Dodgy as fuck IMHO

YOU CAN REGISTER THE CAR AS A NEW CAR OR USE A DONOR ID, THE CHOICE IS YOURS. THE SHELL IS UNSTAMPED. I HAVE COSWORTH "EVOLUTION" RS500 TYPE APPROVAL DOCUMENTS FOR THE CAR IF THEY ARE NEEDED TO REGISTER THE CAR OVERSEAS.

I HAVE A 3 DOOR SIERRA ID WITH COS PRIVATE PLATE IF REQUIRED WITH T&T.
I reckon there are good odds based on the lack of new parts he has used (ie not the transmission or engine) that it will struggle to get a new reg plate, and thats why he hasnt registered it, and if it ends up on a Q plate then you have just bought 5K of Q reg 3 door for over 20K


Fantastic car though im sure, but the potential for loosing money on it is massive.

Thats what i thought Chip, i cant see that being registered as new!! Especialy when things doine like 10k miles


Funny as below it in adds looks like mint RS500 for same money

Why go to the expense of doing all that to it and then paint it a non rs colour?

Why would you break a genuine RS500 and not use the 8 injector set up, T4 turbo and RS500 block etc.

Me smells something unpleasent!

I always thought you could put cars like this on an 57 plate for example, as it has a new shell and seems to have used mainly new parts?

So whats the facts regarding this then?

Cant believe he painted it that colour though.

So he broke a genuine 500 to build it, took a couple of years to build it has just finished it but will p/x for another 500 seems abit backwards to say the least
