I can totally understand what you're saying about the thinking thing. My mind is fucked because of how I think. I spend ALL day every day thinking about everything I have on the go and in great detail too. It causes anxiety and thats the reason you can't sleep.

I have no trouble sleeping, but I have other quite serious symptoms caused by it.

I'm thinking of trying hypnotism.

I've never been a great sleeper - can get off OK but quite often awake half the night. Drives me up the wall.

tesco own stuff. 'kick' its like Ł1.50 for 2 litres (1 litre bottles on offer)

have 2 or 3 in a day. or more if you take to the flavor lol. red bull costs too much.

also relentless works well but is more money however tastes better IMO.

Im my experience focusing on relaxing rather than sleeping will help big time.
Prepare your mind for rest, which will then lead to sleep.

Take time out to relax before going to bed, allow your mind time to slow down.

Something as simple as listening to your Ipod or sticking a set of headphones on and listening to your Hifi.

the energy drink is aBAD idea, take this from a bloke who drinks 3 cans of relentless per day MIN, i find without it now i cant work as efficient and the director has ALSO noticed that he also brings me relentless when he goes for lunch

the reason you cant sleep is STRESS, your thinking about something but its stressing you out

its not santa syndrome as its every night so i would say its stress, i was like that for ages due to the cossie, my personal plate and other general stuff like having a child but not being secure blah blah

i still have issues sleeping but its caused by using a fucking comouter each night till i pass out

seriously either have sex, that will knock you out or read a book then have a wank if your single ( dont think the missus would feel good about you reading then gettign in the mood

also turn the radio on low with the static white noise, that will help you not to be disturbed

seriously though it sounds like theres some form of stress you aint realised though

took me a while but i discovered it in the end

oh and NEVER drink a can of relentless at 1am if you aint got any milk in and fancy a drink in the night

i done that ONCE,,, was up till 530am when i fell a sleep for a hour and went to work

oh sunbeds also promote sleep, the missus when she cant sleep turns it on for a hour and shes off in 5 mins

Wise words me thinks Andy, defo restless nights usually happen from the mind going frantic, or worry, if you can just get into and relax, try and picture nice things in your head/mind, that's what i've always done, it does help...

oh and tescos "kick" is 24 pence in the 150ml cans

remember that too much caffine will give you runny shites, most peoples stomaches cant take 32mg per 100 mill of caffinee when you are driniking 2 to 3 litres per day

though i cant function in the mornings without it these days,, but im working on it

imagine how sad it is that ive got a small caffinee dependancy

Ginge, dead right about the energy drinks.

When i used to do body building on the late 80`s, i rammed energy drinks down my neck, amino acids, you name it, i could hardly sleep at nights, mind you alot of that was due to the buzz from training at night

Try to aviod HUGE meals aswell before sleeping..

Stay of the whizz and ultimate orange..

Ginge. With the stuff on tap in hospital sleep was easy, possibly more a case of knocking yourself out In pill form its was pretty much the same.

Nasty when it comes time to stopping though on quitting painkillers after years of use I remember.
Week after week of just a couple of hours sleep a night, shivers etc etc.
Like a propper junkie just cutting it out your system.
