rx7 problem
a m8 of mine has bought a rx7 now the car dont start but if you keep at it it will start and run lump the bloke that he got it of rekons that thr rear apxi is gone any one now what that is or better still what is the common problem with these car for starting

Engine re-build time. Do it sooner rather than later as low compression causes poor starting and eventually the apex seals disintergrate and take all the rotors and housings out, meaning most of the rotor becomes scrap, not to mention metal bits taking out the turbos too.

Exactly the same thing happened to mine! And if you have tried to run it in that condition there is a 99% chance that the housing is scrap already.
Depending on where you are, Pip at WGT in cheshire is very reasonably priced for rebuilds

Sounds like you've lost a seal or similar on one of the rotors, probably the rear. Compression test it, but hold the button in while someone starts it, you should get 3 even bounces - i bet you don't.
unfortunately yes it sounds like rebuild time, but compression test it first - it could be a flooded rotor or fouled spark plug or something silly but youll be very lucky if it is!
compression test it/get it done!
