accusump

thought they was a replacement for dry sumps (sort of thing)
i have a baffled and gated sump but i will be using the car on track and im about to purchase a set of slicks for it
so just trying to prevent the worst
the car is in bits (still ) so now is the time to do anything to it

Mate, you wont need to worry about Accusump until you have the thing on 2 wheels . Save your money and put a decent baffle in the sump and a good oil cooler and you'll be fine !

Fitted one on the utlima below, funky bit of kit but until you are taking corners bloody quick and at insane angles you wont need one
Save your money and as tony said get a larger cooler and bigger baffle.

Accusump works fine in theory, but if your getting oil surge (and slicks is the right was to go about that ) at some point you could exhaust the contents of the accusump, or reduce the flow to the bearings recharging it. At worst, it'll run out mid corner leading to the same problems as not having one, at best its money you could have spent on a dry sump. All IMHO.
Plus if your using the car on track a lot and having surge, it may (or may not) protect your engine but your oil pump will be pumping air which wont do it any good at all.
