Default running engine loom inside inner arches?

im thinking off running my engine loom in my mk3 escorts inner arches, problem bing it was made with no arch liners being 1982. im trying to fink of ways of holding loom, thought of welding bracket/hook things then once loom is run bend up and tiger seal other end of clip/bracket if you can understand what i mean? tiger seal being so it could always be removed if needed. p.s i would be water proofing the loom better lol

cheers

well im just having a minor restoration, i.e respray, stonechip underneathe, engine bay holes welded up and sprayed, just thought it would generally make the engine bay lookalot neater. each to thier own of course though.

cheers jano, what are these p clips? where did you need to drill the holes for this? one by fuse box? and one by drivers ligh? anymore?i water shouldnt be and issue because i would make sure it is truely waterproof because i dont want any accidents etc and i try not to drive car in the rain.

I had large thick washer type things welded inside my inner wings to hold the loom up in place. All the wires were in that convulate tubing (plastic stuff!) and zip tied to every washer every few inches.

dont be silly si, i aint going to all the effort of making engine bay then leaving ugly loom there so its not noticed, done properly wont be a problem and sounds as though my idea is pretty much what other people have done. why do you say leave it alone?

i say go for it mate think it looks ace. tidyed my bay up no end

as long as you wrap it up well no water will get in andto secure it properly if you dont weld, drill 2 small holes all the way along under the wing lip so you cant see them and use tie wraps
