Why aren't they sending the 4 fastest cars from the competition?
Should be good to compare though, those crazy Japs have some awesome machines which resemble more of GT spec cars

Zen car is the fastest/winner and is fucking amazingly quick.
RC car is the most powerful and a really special piece of work all round.
350Z is most "interesting" RWD one, and RWD cars are in a different class.
Celica is totally original/different, showing off what we can build over here, just like the Norris Evo, tho thats off the road at mo.
Also those cars are in full working order at mo, which is also pretty vital as its not a 2min job getting cars to Japan.

Read the comments the drivers/owners say on the link in the 1st post, they all know they unlikely to be contenders, but its not about going there to win really.

How close? Well without having the cars on the same tracks, who knows. Its not power, anyone can get power and many of ours are more powerful, its the whole package.

this is true.any schmuck can have loads of power but it takes a proper driver to be able to lap quickly.
tommy field and martin hadland are both great drivers that if you put on a track with me in one of their cars and them in a standard car i bet they would still whoop my arse

only one I am unsure about on that list is the 350z its quick but will get shat on over there would much prefer to see the Audi powered Elise of Stephen Guglielmi in the line up but with Sumo being such a big name in the UK tuning scene I guess and I think they were part of the reason Time attack started last year then they need to be there in some form.
They are way ahead of us over there just normal time attack days have some crazy cars turning up I don't believe how quick the ASM S2000 is just shows its not all about power
Here a link I posted ages ago to give people who done know much about time attack what the UK guys will be up agenst no as far as I am aware this was just a "normal" time attack day nothing overly special

Shame there are no Re Amemiya RC7's I have always liked there cars look the bollocks and go like fuck too.

Half the pro class over here is driven by racing drivers anyhow.
And why would taking him over matter? Have you caught the PassionFord "yeah, hes faster than everyone, deffo, F1 eat your heart out" bug now too?
I know of at least one highly modded EscCos in Japan anyhow, and considering they was a famous GrpA/WRC car for years, im sure they know em

Best to see how he gets on against the UK TA cars first. IMO he would be hard pushed to make the podium in Pro class. And thats with my full GL blinkers on.
