Anyway, here is the in car video, doesn’t look to bad from inside but trust me it was, looking at the loggings it was 80 -85mph while flipping and rolling, the car was that high in the air it almost cleared the new catch fence on the start line (15ft hight)
Wrong place wrong time by the looks of it, the back marker is blocked out of view by the other two cars and left Si running out of track.

Nasty - looks like he catches/drives up the pugs front wheel which catapults it into the air.
Looking at the pics above the pug looks ok, anyone got a pic of the pugs damage?

Thanks Tony for clearing that up, i did ask if it was a race as looked like it from the way the 3 cars were going and the fact the car was numbered up[I was given duff gen from a reliable source *cough* Dan you cock *cough*]
Totally different as it was in a race, just have to put it down to experience and move on. Glad got out of it alright and could have been alot worse.

The pug lass is ok the car needs the following.
Its repairable.
This is a list of the bits that we think need repairing/replacing:
Needs dents taken out of the rear wing and bumper,both doors, both wings and bonnet.
Needs two new door mirrors.
New alloys and tyres?
New bodykit
One maybe Two headlights
One rear light
New rear beam
New front wish bones
New driveshaft/gearbox? (gearbox oil everywhere but haven't properly checked yet)
Think thats it so far but we shall know more on further inspection, maybe tomorrow.

Unfortunate racing accident. I have never understood why some races have such differences in car performance. Look at le mans - some cars BOOMING down the straights anothers not anything like as quick. Must take SOME concentrating not to have these type of accidents more often.

I take my comment back as it wasnt apparent that it was a competitive race, you'd think they'd have groups for the slower cars so things like this were less likely to happen, its ok to expect pros to avoid slow back markers but its a bit much to ask of ametuers

my mate took the shocking sequence of pics posted in the link above... I was on the pit wall yards away from where it hit.. that was one scary situation for all involved!
Primarily everyone gets out ok thankfully, but if it was my incar video I don't think I would have been so keen to post it on the internet for all to see..

There are certainly questions raised about the massive difference in performance between the fastest and slowest in these races, but to dismiss it as a "racing incident" and move on is a bit harsh to the young girl in the 106. She was offline making space for the others to go by, doing all that she could/should - inexperience played a fair part in this incident IMO.

why not? it will handle 10X better than anything FWD ford have made
I'm sure there were a few choice expletives but if you're in a race series then you accept the possibility of being in a large shunt, and you have to accept even more that you might be in a shunt that you werent at fault for.
