If it has 3gig then u have no reason to upgrade, however if its 256mb then u could put another 256 or 512mb in, u must make sure it is the exact same spec as the other ram in there now, if u take the current one out it may have a sticker on it saying 333mhz or 2700 etc..

nah all u need is some extra ram mate, £50-£60 will get u a 512mb stick taking u to a total of 768mb which is good enough for 90% of peeps.
So u have 256mb in say slot 1, put this 512 or whatever u decide in slot 2

hi mate
according to the specs for your machine you need PC2700 DDR memory, i am basing this on your processor being an AMD Athlon 2100, although there is a PC model called an athlon2100 which houses a AMD 2800 processor, which in turn uses different memory (PC3200DDR), so you will need to confirm what processor you have matey.
So have a check, go to control panel/system abd it should tell ya what you got

Stu, right click on my computer and click "properties" IT will tell u what CPU u have and amount of RAM (MEMORY)
I have just upgraded mine, from a AMD Athlon 1200 CPU and 256MB RAM
Now have AMD Athlon 2400+ CPU (New board needed) and 512MB RAM
