Default Fitting front anti-rollbar 3door cossie?

I`m in the prosess of fitting a front anti-rollbar to my 3door cos. Along with some compressionstruts from compbrake, the rollbar is from Rallyedesign, both of questionable quality IMO, so a bit of improvement and reinforcement will be done.
What I wonder about how do you guys fit the antirollbar til the TCA`s? There is many ways of doing this, but not sure whats best/easiest. Either way it probaly will need some machining work, if anyone have pictures of theire installations it would be of great help!

Cheers
Kjartan

Look on the TAS site as they sell the joints to connect up these bits.

Bin it Kjartan , the TAS roll bar is shite ! The drop links are just studding if i remember , you must at least make some drop links for it and then weld a threaded tube on the TCA to mount it on .

Hi Tony!
It`s got droplinks, just a pair of threaded irons with a unibolt in both ends, looks a bit weak, but thougt I`ll give them a go and see what happens. As you say, welding a threaded tube or a bolt to the TCA seems as the easiest solution. I`ve got 3 different bars, when i decide on the one I like best I`ll weld it to the "blades" as the bolted fixing looks to weak.

BTW very pleased with the YBD, a bit worn, otherways in perfect order and perfect for my project, virgin bore as well, the most worn sylinder was 90,87, now 91,00, should be ready for mounting in the car in a couple of days, looking very good!

I was under the impression you cant fit compression struts with an anti roll bar, the comp struts bolt to where the roll bar mounts to the chassis legs? unless you's are talking about something else

That is why this is a FRONT antirollbar, new brackets welded to the chassislegs in front of the engine crossmember.
You can run compressionstruts without antirollbar, but then you would need very hard springs that would totally ruin the ridequality of a roadcar.

turbo technics did a tca which had 2 mounting points for both the compression struts and the normal arb
everything else tends to have it at the front and then you connect it via drop links to the nose of the compression strut gubbins

mike r or one of the other people who dable in this sort of stuff will be along soon enough to tell you what they would recommend

Martin Hadlands Escort uses Compression struts and a front mounted ARB with drop link set up.

There are pics floating around on here, and in Fast Ford mag when they did the mega feature on his car.

I too was told no need for ARB with Compression struts.

I never fitted mine so never found out, but if I had and found the car too boat like I would have gone down the same route as Martin has done.
