Step away from the defragmenter...it is of NO use to you!

In fact, it's not of a great deal of use at all, just something else to help occupy disk space.

First, backup all your porn to a CD or DVD, then delete it from the hard disk, this will increase space to nearly 50%

There's a few 'hidden places' you can delete stuff from to reclaim a little space. You can always remove programs you've not used for years, and forgotten what they do, including games.

Your best bet is to buy a new, bigger disk, and clone your full one onto it - this keeps everything how you have as it is now, but you gain a skinful of disk space.

Or, buy a new hard disk, install it, leave the old one connected as a 'slave', install Windows (if that's what floats your boat) and then refer back to the original as an 'archive'. There's loads of ways to do it, but that's my favourite.

I could store all my pictures, albums, films ect on the external one....and still leave the pc tower free from stuff that slows it down

yes

just remember to delete the stuff you swap over, once you know it's been swapped over that is

then do the degraf thing and clean up etc

it might take ages but it'll be worth it, i am now left with a mere 8 gig worth of stuff on my combined 200 gig internal hard drives while the rest has gone to live in the other one
