Same thing happened to a friend of mine - he managed to get pictures of the traffic inspector ticket person parked on double yellow's while he put tickets on two cars that were in white painted bays (next to these double yellows) - the ones where you pay for like 5mins and then have to leave.
My mate's car was one, and he was late back to it by 1 or 2 mins, so this traffic guy was issuing a ticket. My mate snapped him parked on the double yellows, sent a written compaint into their headoffice with the pics and got his fine quashed

How else are they going to enforce it? Pull up and say 'wait there until i can find a parking space so i can walk back and give you a ticket'.
@ the video.
Its like saying the police should stop at red lights and stick to the speed limit chasing a car.
The ticket was harsh i suppose mate, and maybe you just got a bad un in a bad mood.

So must be NCP Company policy
QUOTE
James Pritchard, the communications director for NCP, said those people charged with enforcing the rules "shouldn't be seen to be flouting the rules themselves".
"If they are doing what you say they are doing, then they are breaking our rules and if we catch the people involved then they wouldn't be working for NCP services in Northern Ireland for very much longer - in fact, they wouldn't be working for NCP services at all.
"It is against the rules to do this.
"What I think has happened here is that sometimes, from time to time, you get changes on the on-street rules, you get maintenance of lines and signs.
"For a period of time, because of that, the regulations are not enforceable."
However, over a period of two days, a BBC journalist reported traffic wardens parking their cars on double yellow lines in the street and failing to issue tickets.

S1rst, what planet are you on ?, the rest of us even myself are on earth.
A plod chasing a car thief is ALLOWED IN LAW to run a red light, a NCP twat parking illegally is an NCP twat parking illegally, they are not above the law, the police are allowed to break the law in the pursuit of evidence, to prevent a crime etc otherwise they would not be able to do their job.
tabetha
ps I would kick up even if you still pay it may put the twat out of a job.
