Default Thinking Of Changing Car, Your Thoughts?

Ok currently got a 2005 Civic Type R i'm thinking of changing it in a few months time, since having the R I want something thats a bit simliar drove the Golf GTi but wasn't that keen. Also thinking of doing a few track days so this car has to stand the abuse, work permitting i'd also like to go to the ring.

But while it's not a daily driver some weeks I might need to use it everyday but not for long drives.

So far i'm thinking:

Honda S2000 Facelift - 240bhp + RWD
Lotus Exige - 190bhp But lightweight and great track weapon. But will it break my back?
Focus ST/GGR 300 - I've heard there not very good on track and the GGR car can't cope with the extra power.
Honda Integra DC5 - More track focused than my CTR but not offering much more in performance.

Right now the exige is winning my heart. But i'm thinking of going for one of the others for more practicality .

I just wanted to know if anyone has driven any of the above and what they prefer?

Open to other suggestions as well. It's not like I've got anything set in stone.

Although I don't want to buy a car and modify it loads, I just want something thats good in standard form.

Yeah thought about the E46 M3, But there are so many out there and i'd probably get an 03 reg for my price range so it's probably been given death already.

The main thing that puts me off bmw are main dealer costs and theres alot to go wrong on these cars.

I don't really know of any audi's out there in my price range I want.

And as for the Civic Saloon Type R. Theres no way i'm paying 22k for a car that costs 12.5k in Japan!

Some good suggestions, but one thing i'm thinking is the newer the car the better. As the airbag and seat problems i've had with my car would have put me on the wrong end of 1k if I didn't have a warranty. I hate to think what BMW or Audi would charge.....

out of the list, the st is the most practical performance choice

but what do you want from the car?
to be quick or to be quick and have track ability or to be just quick point to point or just quick on the road/motorway etc?

you can buy a S8 for cheap nowadays and that's a big luxo-barge if that floats your boat, or you can buy one of them yari turbo thingies if you want tichy parking space ability

it all depends
