When I previewed the post and saw Streetka as a choice I thought 'are you a girl' then I looked at your username and realised you were! lol
Puma's are a bit
too, granted the FRP not as bad, I'd chose that over a SKA if that was the only choice
I don't really like any newer Fords, didn't like the Focus ST as standard, Fiestas are too small (though not driven the ST) what else newer Ford is there a choice of? For me I'd only got S2 RST or cossie
I like the Mondeos, not sure what performance they are versus weight

Definatley like them though, the interior is lovely, but they are very easy to steal, people nick them for the interior, gearboxes and engine!
One's with LSD are more expensive but have done less miles, just a question of getting my paws on one to test drive. you're never going to find one in a main dealer and if you you'll pay through the nose! Saying that not seen a SportKA in a dealer either!

Puma by a mile IMO.
Mates got 1, pretty standard but uprated brakes.
Awesome car, not quick in a line... at all, but handles amazingly well. (and my daily drives an Evo)
Shocking to see out the back of though.
Edit to add, his has got the LSD IIRC they were only about 80 made with them fitted. So might be as cheap to get an aftermarket item fitted than pay more for the car in the first place.
IMO though it doesn't need it.

Fella i know has an FRP and its a lovely machine!
Puma's are a bit gay, but racing pumas are hardcore in my opinion!
Well sorted cars, handle well and are respectable in a straight line.
DEFFO go for one over a sportka

i think it depends what you are wanting from a car, ive had a frp for a few days and it was very nice, fast enough in a straight line but the handleing was outstanding, plus they are rare so command high prices compared to a normal one but they were 21k to start with though, dont think they will loose that much money either where as a sport ka will, loads od sport ka around though and cheap to keep and fix, no brake rebuilds ever year! up to you at the end of the day! also insurance is quite high on a frp too! there is a nice puma powered ka on pistonheads by the way

Try getting service parts...stuff like bushes, brake discs ( £400 a set!! ) driveshafts and all the little FRP specific parts.......I know Alan at Pumabuild stockpiles as much as he can find but the little bits are getting harder to find and the prices are creeping up. And if you should be unlucky enough to need a front or rear wing/quarterpanel...then prepare for bum raping
