Default How Random??

The other night, i lost the immobilizer key for my car. After many hours looking round for it, i decided to retrace my steps and go back to where we walked my mates dog, which is an old aerodrome.

So, its getting dark so we drive up the track slowly with the lights on to find it, and then after 20 minutes, an unmarked police escort van pulls up and stops us . Next thing you know, 3 other polices cars have turned with 6 police officers in total. They ask us what we are doing, we tell em the truth, and then they search us and the car to find nothing!!

Whats all that about? Was a bit shocked to say the least...

If you had landed a helicopter there filled with guns and ammo guarentee they would not have appeared for hours....

I had the Police call at mine the other week at half 1 in the morning, i was still awake at the time..

So i strolled to the front door and opened it to be confronted with two officers one of which shouts so loudly, PAUL HARRIS....

No mate, names Luke.

OH LOL THOUGHT WE HAD THE WRONG ADDRESS APOLIGIES SIR.

so why call at half 1 in the morning if you think its wrong...

Bunch of cocks

What old aerodrome is it? Might not be quite as disused as it seems.

I bet there something still happening there of some description.

Ive had it happen to me before, somewhere that seems innocent enough, but is far from it.

After a little detective work, id say you best keep out as there IS something sinister going on and it looks like they are trying to keep it hush hush

It seems so, just looks like an empty field to me

This is the track we went down and coppers stopped us...

Thinking about it, my m8 didn`t get a producer and didn`t show any I.D or documents. Surely they wouldn`t just take our word for it? The car isn`t even in his name yet as he only bought it less than a week ago...

Little Walden, Essex

Little Walden or Hadstock was built between Linton and Saffron Walden in 1943 and opened in March 1944 assigned to the US 9th Air Force.

The 409th Light Bomb Group arrived flying A20 Havocs. Together with Wethersfield and Gosfield they made up the 97th Combat Wing, attacking tactical targets as part of the D Day build up.

In May 1944 a local woman was killed near Ashdon trying to help the crew in a crashed Havoc which exploded.

After June 6 D Day, the 409th and other units of 9th AF moved to the continent. The Mighty Eighth now took over Little Walden and the 361st Fighter Group moved in from Bottisham flying Mustangs. In early 1945 the 493rd moved its B17's here from Debach while that base was under repairs, and many bombing raids were flown from Little Walden.

In the first three months of 1945 the 361st FG was in France but returned in April and Little Walden reverted to being a fighter base. The 56th FG (The Wolfpack) also arrived in the summer and both units returned to the USA in November 1945.

The base closed in January 1946.
