As an option my old head is lying at ava, needs one cam journal repaired but has got a good porting job.

he built the engine in my zetec turbo escort, he runs a 320whp suzuki katana with a turbonetics turbo, 8 injector plenum and antilag! his wife has a gs1000 with nos. both built by himself! He is a very talented man and so is his sister who does the head work. (not his daughter like i posted above). does all the engine machining for them cunts at newton stewart GMC. makes tubular manifolds aswell. Also done the suspension fabrication on that yellow lotus elise that does the rallycross. As a person he is pretty drole. brilliant sense of humour. came of his bike couple of months back and once he got out of hospital the plod interviewed him, plod says "we believe you were doing in excess of 130mph because of the length of your skid mark" he says" skid mark? you must be mistaken! that wasnt me slowing down, that was me just getting gan!" turns out he had been doing rolling burn outs!

spoke to alan today for a while, and he has explained how its an expensive process, and might be a shame to split me engine

he suggested selling my engine and starting from scratch again on an even higher engine spec

which might be a good idea as i can get another 200block and ive got 2 very good spare heads 1 2wd and 1 4x4

wouldnt know how to price my old unit though

my engine was lightned and balanced at that engine services

thing is with the head its not just a case of porting it needs to be done pretty spot on,too much is bad ive heard

not sure about selling my engine to be honest euan,i might......

but the money thats went into it and only covered 3500miles,1500 of running in

how much

long studded 200block
knife edged crank
standard rods
cosworth racing low comp pistons
hi flow pump
steel head gasket
mountune studs
all arp internal bolts
bd 14s
???????????

might just go the whole hog and get the sweedish inlet, ava exhaust etc

but il never see another 100bhp unless i get a mappable managment

how fast do you wanna go? dave escos car looked quick as fook at croft an thats a standard head and t4.and it would take someone with massive balls to drive a car with that power and in 2wd at its limit unless you wanna do high speed runs like euan?

that sounds like a challenge to me

lol its not all about top speed mate, the 4-7rpm in my car at present in every gear is really good fun

the porsche 911 trying it on on way to croft on sat got a fright thats for sure, but just want a head that will flow more air,an exhaust thats not restrictive

ive had 2 stage 3 saph 4x4`s before this car, want this 1 to be diffrent

suppose can never have enought power but aint no good if cant get power down
but id rather spend the money on the chassis, dff gearbox etc.then go for more power.but no doubt that will come after the exhaust and head anyway lol

Col dont see what the point in selling your engine is, looks like the bottom end you have is a good spec so the standard head is the next restriction.

Im not sure at all col so dont quote me?

Just going by a thread I did a while ago asking about mine plus the SM4 and folk thought about 5k, so that would make yours worth about 2?

good stuff mate, brake it uprate it is the best way
and i reckon its worth more than 2k.
euan i think the fact that if anyone was to spend more than 5k on your engine thats lots of cash for a 2nd hand engine thats done quiet alot of miles surely?

I could p/e a 200 block towards your engine perhaps? could come with crank and rods...

depends on price of yours.

I also have a head but you sound like you have enough of them
