best intake for a zetec e
what is best for a 2.0l engine, but needs to be up-gradeable should i decide to turbo (in a few years )
is it best to run it`s standard (masssive)inlet/injectors or run a new inlet manifold with twin webbers or throttle boddies.bike bodies for example
don¬t want to get an aftermarket for a few years, what would be best?
thanks

The best thing you can do to the 2.0lt ZETEC in terms of bhp per £ is fit aftermaket engine management. Filters, manifolds etc are a waste of money.
The standard inlet is restrictive and rarely lets you get more than 150bhp NA. The Rover Turbo inlet can be adapted and has no flow issues.
TBs are the ultimate NA but space can be an issue on FWD cars.

i have a trust electrical racing one for my zetec turbo saph , bike bodies are easy and cheap to do as long as u got the rite managemnt just get a lower st170 inlet some 48mm gsxr 1000 bodies cossie injecter and a modded st170 injecter rail with a cossie fule reg , as for carbs there quite exstecive agen u need managment the carbs the inlet jets and then a proper set up , the standerd EFI inlet on the 1.8 130ps is fine to use on turbo'ed zetecs
hope that is some help lol

funnily enough i have a rover t16 turbo inlet manifold in the garage
so is it best to get an adaptor plate from ferriday engineering and fit that?
do you use the rover injectors and throttle body?
been looking into the omex600 ecu (my old maestro had it fitted)
so it would seem best to go for aftermarket ecu first then, then in a few years just re-map for a turbo lump

have looked into the emerald,un-sure if only dave walker can map correctly though (software given out to other tuners?)
does anyone else map it?
thanks for your advise

The Emerald software is a free download
I looked into Omex and they charge for updates, software, cables etc.
The Emerald is also very user friendly so it is easy to calibrate sensors etc.
