Default Lazer Eye Surgery

All

A bloke at work is thinking of getting this done, but just wants a bit of info from people that have had it done, ie, good and bad reports etc as there are several company's offering this service.

I am sure there was a post some time ago from someone that had just had it done? Does anybody know who it was, or alternatively who else has had it done.

Thanks in advance

Kev

they can only gaurantee that you will be above the leagal limit to drive with unaided vision.

and it only last for like 2 years then you will need it done again.

and if they fukk it up, your blind.

also,,,,

all the doctors that perform the operations WEAR GLASSES

there was a thing on tv a while ago

That sounds a bit harsh!

I have friends who had it done over 5 years ago and still have 20/20 vision. I am getting mine done next month by Optimax, Croydon.

There are risks, but you are being treated by professionals with many years experience. Bottom line is the risk is up to you - always a personal choice!

Philm (my boyfriend) has had it done.....he said no pain, no discomfort apart from you have to wear these plastic goggles for a few nights after.....which make you look like a fly, so you dont rub your eyes when sleeping....
he thinks its well worth the money, no side affects, nothing. He was done by accuvision, and, having been to the london clinic with phil id have the say that place is second to none, absolutely immaculate and not one surgeon was wearing glasses, lol.........like hell would they fudgeass....they can get their eyes lazered for next to nowt!
plus it doesnt have to be done every 2 years? wtf..... they burn out areas of your eyes....making it a permenant fix....

Hays mum had it done and to say that her glasses before hand were like the bottoms of bottles would be and understatement but she said it was bloody brilliant she has got near perfect vision now so a good result here

Depends where you go mate and what your requirements are.

Ł4000 is probably about the most expensive one (Accuvision)....but i spent about a yera researching it, and reading all the testimonials, good and bad etc, and made an informed decision, dont rush into it!!!! Go see a few different places, Id recommend anyone goes for a consultation at Accuvision tho

I hope it isnt true, but if what they say is true, and you get what you pay for......I'd rather pay Ł4000 than Ł500 an eye

Thank you all very much for your replies - I will print this thread out and give to him.

I believe he has looked at the Ultralaze and Optimax websites but its always good to hear from people that wont give you a bias opinion.

Cheers
