my lovely little daughter decided to open our dvd player, and now the fekkin tray wont shut!!!!!!
any ideas on how i can get the thing to work again???
ive had it to bits but cant see where its catching.
any help would be appreciated!!

if this ever happens at my pc shop with a cd rom normally the draw cogs have just gone a tad to far and a good shove normally works. obviously dont tw@t it just a good firm push. dont break it though!!!

The trays are open/closed by gears, if you look on the bottom of the tray there is row of teeth that the gears should connect up with, chances are that this row of teeth no longer line up / or it has jumped a few teeth.

Without seeing the tray it is pretty hard to guess what it could be, but the tray gearing is the best place to start. Hope that helps.
