Cometic are fine IF installed correctly!...You have to make sure the middle layer is in the right place or goodbye gasket!!!!

I use a .43 one...cost about £100 i think!!!!

I think Tiff had the older style one which caused him aggro where a few rougue ones were about!..I beleive they have rectified all that with a slightly modified gasket....although i run the older one with no probs....i think if its a rouguye one your know straight away!

There is an alternative , Julian Godfrey supplies a Raceline 3 layer WRC style gasket , he tells me that alot of his "higher " powered cars use these now with great effect . I did buy one off him some time ago £220 but haven't used it yet so i cant comment , i use a different system for my low powered car!!

Thats a joke yes?? you know I bought FOOKING 4 WRC headgaskets in about 3 weeks???

We then found out that it was actually the block face had a tiny tiny imperfection and all the gaskets were actually fine A normal gasket would have sealed it but the metal ones let it pressurise the coolant.

The word 'wounder' springs to mind...

Know nothing about the Cometic but for the sake of only 250 odd quid, I'd do the job once and have the piece of mind that I have the daddy one.

BUT make sure the block face is 200% perfect!!!!

Porkie...the WRC and the Cometic are virtually identical..they are both made the same way..except the WRC is 4 layers and not 3...i guess it comes down to how much the engine is worth...if you paid stiupid money whats another £200 odd?

380 quid 4 times in a month

id be skint, infact id cryb when i looked at me bank statment and read what i bought

id then be sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo pissed at the block face too ( id hammer the imperfectiojn to relive stress )

now how good are they honestly as a groupa 1 is pretty strong aint it and what boost do they go to aswell

it took me a few weeks to get used to the price of live mapping ( guess im a tight arse )

oh adn yeah lee was a joke about the price mate, i thought ya would be like mmmmmm thats alot of money for a gasket but then the suspention on ya 3door, ya could have bought a nice porsche boxster ith that moeny ya spend on ya car, and maybe a ipod too
