Default fitting foam on a roll cage...what with???

ok, bought some foam for my roll cage

but what is best to fit it with?

i'm assuming black insulating tape???

or cable ties done tight???

it's proper stuff not B&Q job

best to it it with is a bat innit

as you say cable ties or tape, cable ties would look better

Cable ties, tape with start to peel when warn and leave a residue.

Spiky when I did mine the cable ties just ripped straight through it.

Most insulation tape is self exstinguishing so fine for taping over and if you take your time can look quite neat.

what foam did you use?

my foam sem quite hard and i just did it all with cable ties and dont look it would rip through it?

I did mine the other weekend with cable ties and it's fine.

The foam I have is probably the same thickness as you got Spiky

Tape looks shit in my opinion

but i thought i'd asked just incase it was a big no no to use cable ties

that foam ain't worth a toss when you hit it at 100mph, it might as well not be there
the proper FIA stuff feels rock hard but will actually absorb some energy when you twat it

Mine came from Rally design... wasn't very spongy.
