it would say that the problem is not the engine if the if was a problem with the head then it would smoke on the over run & not on boost.
problem is more than likely your turbo even if it is new. wasn't off ebay was it?

Your bottom end looks ok to me.

Can you do a leak down / cylinder leakage test on it?

Definately going to go with Turbo or maybe stem seals?

But compression looks good! And if the head or block was cracked I'd think it's smoke more on the overrun?

Definately sounds like a turbo issue. Plus, new doesn't always = good. I had to send a T3 back to UT once as the thing was smoking from the day I put in on....

i can get a leak down test done next week

just been down to the skyline tuners by me to see if they can do it which they can 50 quid plus vat

ill get this done next week and then send the turbo off for inspection

and go from there

wil know for sure next week whats up

hopefully the leak down test will pick something up or the turbo if they come back with nothing then i havnt got a clue and will need to take the head off

well mate if it does come to taking the head off its alot cheaper to pay someone to do that than paying for someone to rebuild it
