How much money would the car lose of its value in the space of a year?

I was gonna keep it, then I realised im poor and the 4.5k or so its worth I could spend on the Chaser, but it looks that smart I find it hard to let go

Its got 12months T+T etc at mo, so I got no worries with it for a while, but I dunno, 4.5k in my pocket is nice, thats about 2years wages to me

Im guessing in a year or two the price will go down on E39s so much that I can pick one up for nowt when I got a few more quid spare? Really like em so would deffo want one again, even if I cashed this one in to mod the Chaser.

Yeah, early E39 so yeah only about 4.5k, less if it was a petrol one.

Looks LOADS more tho dont it, even more so in the flesh, shows what a few well chosen mods can do eh!
Hence why im so tempted to keep it really, Champagne lifestyle on a White Lightning budget, bit like Phil does with his cheap Ferrari etc etc

But 4.5k is a whole lot of cash for me, and would be mint to get the Chaser exactly how I wanted it.

Nothing "needs" doing, its awesome and amazing spec.

But I want to do some things, mega cage, getting the safety stuff to Eurodrift/EDC spec, etc etc, as well as a few trick bits n pieces too, as wanna make it all lovely.

Sept 11th it will be here. Lets hope of no terrorist attacks using giant container ships

I honestly dont. Not looking at Autotrader prices etc.
Looks awesome, but its only a set of rims, lowered, clear side repeaters etc.

The people who think that a bmw with tinted windows looks "phat" arent the people buying diesel estate cars generally, so I agree with you that it wont fetch mega money.

Nice looking car

HELL of a lot of car for £4.5k!

Let me know if you want to sell, think I know someone who would want that.... minus the tints!

Tints or not, looking at the prices, its a 4.5k car i reckon, tho hard to be sure, as obv it looks cooler than most in a nice colour, nice wheels, lowered, etc.

Looks the part.

End of the day, you could spend the 4.5k on the chaser... but it wont add much value to it, really? Effectively loosing the 4.5k anyway?

Id keep the bimmer and get the chaser as you want it over time.

Was talking to one of the ex-Total BMW guys at lunch and he cant sell his BMW for love nor money either, even at way less than what its worth.

My mate just got a 04 plate M-specced up 320D coupe for about 4k less than usual asking price too, so seems like fuck all is selling.

So maybe I am best of keeping it...

not really - for kids you really want climate control to keep them from getting hot and irritated

In 5 series it is, but i found in my 330 i had and mates a/c wasnt as good as 5 series and my Honda is better

Steve the TDS wont lose much imop however if you start messing about with it, then i would say yes it would as the market for modded 5 series estates is erm very small to nearly zero. Leave is std and will be fine mod it and will lose the money you put in and resale value imo.

How many miles has it done? History etc?

Whos this guy who can get cheaper BMW? he got anymore going?

I wont be modding it at all, its had a few subtle stuff done to make it nicer than your average 5 series, and thats how its staying.
All id be tempted to do is put full leather in it, as its got all the options barring leather at mo (inc gay wood trim etc).

Its got 170k on it, not low, but not a huge amount for one of them really.

pah you won't lose fuck all on that in a year compared to one that's a couple of years old, it's done it's money already.

Look at that lad on here who keeps banging on about his dads coupe. I bet he'd like to just lose the £4.5k yours owes you in a year! And that's not including the 17.5 % he lost as soon as he took it out the showroom.

Keep it.
