Smoking ban, how are you finding it.........
How are people finding the smoking ban then? As a non smoker i think its better in every way.
It would be interesting to hear from smokers to see if they now see it as better too, but were dead aginst it before it came into force. I know a few smokers that now think its better than before. Not too sure how they'll feel in the winter though as many places still havnt put shelters outside yet.

i love it, you can go for a few pints and actually breathe.
and another nice thing is when you wake up in the morning after a night out, you and your bed dont reek of fags, and your clothes dont stink your room out.
i have never smoked as it just stinks!!!!!

I like it and don't like..... I am a smoker BTW.... Tho I tried to quit on the 1st June/July/whenever the fuck it was - failed tho
In the pub I don't mind TOO much, and I do tend to smoke less as I am lazy to go outside
Playing pool in the pool club sucks tho as it's top floor, so 3 flights of stairs to go down + up, plus gotta use a buzzer to get in.....
At work - well we weren't really allowed to smoke inside anyway, so now when we do go outside it's 3 or 4 of us, so get to have a 5mins break and a little chat, which ain't so bad......
In the van - still smoking in it, and anyone who tells me otherwise gets one of these -->
But whilst the pubs don't stink of smoke, they now stink of cheap colonge and stale farts

I'm a smoker, I don't mind the ban tbh. Got used to it visiting relatives in the republic of ireland over the years so it's no biggy. Only arse is I can't smoke in me wagon at work anymore which I think is daft cos I'm only ever in it. Still I've cut down loads so it's not costing as much these days

I think its great, i'm a non smoker myself and to come out of a pub and not smell of cigarettes is fantastic!
Only downside is that we live opposite a communty centre and when they have partys etc. on at the wekend, the pavement outside is absolutely covered with dog ends, its disgusting!
We've written to the council about it, see if they provide somewhere to get rid of them.

absolutley fine.
1st weekend it happened i noticed pubs/clubs smelt different, not noticed it at all now.
certainly havent changed busyness, atmosphere, fuck all, in pubs n clubs. maybe in "local" pubs or whatever, but not anywhere i give a toss about.
Birds smoking is rank anyhow, and dont give a fuck what blokes do.

I help run a club now in my spare time and we have found that numbers
are not affected too much but as we have a large outside area, everyone
tends to be outside if not on the dance floors, (4 rooms)
As we have a 1650 capacity, when the nights are warm and dry, the place
feels empty even though the dance floors are full as people are all outside
even many non smokers.!
Also find that many people have hygene issues that were covered up by
the cigarette smoke... smelly coonts
We now have to use fragranced smoke fluid
From my point of view, all the electonics in here stays cleaner much
longer, which makes my life easier and reduces running costs.
And yes I dont smoke
