Engine transport - Merseyside to Fife: any ideas pls?!
Afternoon all...have just bought a new engine, and need to get it from Merseyside up to where my car's in the garage, in Fife. And I don't have time.
Has anyone had an engine couriered before, please? If so, any ideas who I could contact? And how much it might cost?
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks,
greg

So I'm being told, I'll need the fella to have the engine strapped on to a pallet, and I'm wondering how I'm gonna get him to sort this bit out for me...
Cheers

Lee, no mate, that's no use to me. Unless we employ Marty McFly's sevices as well as the A Team's...?
I've always been a bit slow on the up take, mind - the curse strikes again!

i've used palletways several times to get engines etc moved, got a 2l engine and box sent from southampton to aberdeen for Ł70, so shouldn't be any more than that, certainly cheaper then the fuel you'd use!!
all you need to do is get the guy to secure it to a pallet and away you go!!

mk1mad, that's my prob - getting the geezer to get a pallet, & strap it up! Hoping to avoid that bit, or get whoever couriers it for me to take care of it.
And Nuts RuS, who was that quote with pls mate?
Thanks,
greggers

Crown Transport greggers. (Not that you will have heard of them)
Based in Merseyside and run upto Scotland for us at least 2 - 3 times per week without problems.
Depending on where in Scouseland it is, I can sort this end out quite easy with a pallet and shrinkwrap etc.
Just message me if you get stuck

Tony, cheers for the message - very helpful
I've got one fella from this BB (and from up near me) who may be able to head down for me to get the engine, without need of a pallet, but if he doesn't come up trumps, then I'll be shouting for your services!
Thanks a lot
