I have a mercedes V class (same thing really just the MPV)
Driving wise it's nice, got he 2.3 petrol automatic and while it's no Veyron of the line it does the job quite nicely

I was looking at one for a friend last night, central locking was fucked down one side of the van, can't get the passenger door to open and the heater/aircon doesn't power up...says in the book second fuse box in passenger footwell but I can't find it...what I did find though was the connections for the second fuse box plugged together in a nice mercedes bag with a zipo tie on the top....so basically instead of installing a second fuse box just to do the heater and aircon (this van had no other options so fuse box wouldnt have done much really) they 'forgot to put it there and bridged the connections in the loom....hence burnt wires and a fucked aircon/heater/fan system.
Plus...its modern Mag-marelli management....same as punto's and alfa's which are notrious for electrical faults........
If you have a choice i'd steer clear mate this ones had light use and hasn't faired well at all! Dont whatever you do buy one from auction in birmginham next few weeks

i have got an 06 plate vito 111,had a few teething problems with it from new but all got done under warranty, and since then all has been ok... and i have racked up 24k miles in the first year....goes quite well and i do have a laugh with litttle hatch drivers trying to race me !!!......but the van is only a short wheelbase so will be upgrading to a 115 long wheelbase as soon as funds allow...with a few more options this time including air con, parktronic and cruise....and maybe an auto box as working in london driving a manual all day is a pain in the arse
