what should it be boosting at?

sounds like the actuator pipe has come off!

are you double sure there isnt a split in any of the boost control hoses, wastegate actuator to amal, and amal to compressor housing

because for some reason the actuator isnt seeing the boost from the compressor housing, or if it is the gate isnt opening

the next step would be to run a pipe from wastegate actuator to compressor housing, this will bypass the amal valve and see if that stops it

if not ping the arm off the wastegate and make sure its free to move

it is possible it it seized up and wont move ,but ive never heard of that before,

just put a hose between the actuator and comp housing so you KNOW the wastegate actuator is seeing boost pressure first

yeah drive it ,and the gate should open at whatever its been pre loaded to, all you wont have is the spike which is caused by the amal valve

if it works you know its amal or a hose, if it doesnt it must be the wastegate actuator

it wont do any damage, if it works it will run less boost than when it was working fine! if it doesnt it will overboost again!
