You will struggle to get 500hp on 25mm inlet ports with those cams you would realy need 26mm inlet,
The size of the cams will have a effect on what size ports you can get away with.

If you are using BD14 I would recomend 26mm inlet and 25mm exhaust but that is providing the head man knows what he is doing, I would have also thought he would have recomended a size.

not going to argue with mark lol .but your cams bd14 indicate you want some drivability and low down power,so you dont need big ports as this will slow down the air speed.

The question is do you want to struggle to get 480hp or make above 500hp,
There are so many diff types of cam combinations that suit diff ports sizes also and BD14 spec wont give the best power or drivablity but its what a far % people use.

the moral of the story is build the spec of your engine to achive what you want it to do.it will only work properly if the total package is correct.anything else is a compromise.

here's the problem, i want to build it to run 400hp for a start (i have a t34 .63 and greys right now), but be able to run 500 with a manifold(s) change only. what cams would you reccomend for that? i'd like to be able to rev it fairly too
