Default turbo timers?

probably been mentioned a million times b4,just after a few quick questions answering on them

1. can you leave the car running with the turbo timer on,but lock it up and walk away?otherwise there's surely no point in them if you have to sit there and wait for it?

2. is this a good idea, security wise? or will it get nicked?

3. does it depend on your alarm & immobiliser system to do so?

the turbo timer does allow ya to set alarn amd fook off if wired up right

its ok as when ya undo the handbrake the engine cuts ( but still people do think the cars running so dont do it on moss side )

any alarm as its how its wired up that makes the difference

got one on em coosie and i like it, i pop down to the car ( live in a flat ya see) set it for 10 mins, start cars, turn off car, walk back uopstairs finish me coffee and when i go back out sde the cars all warmed up and the heaters work too

thats why they was invented

i got a clifford, a seperate cat 2 imobiliser aswell as a tracker, my one works

try a relay to trip the turbo timer when the ignition is cut for the alarm, it wont let ya set the alarm when ya in the car, get a relay to bypass it and ya sorted

go to a decent car sterio.alarm installers mate, they will sort it out

there good mate i have a dual blitz on mine, it reads boost pressure, and can be set to any cool down time OR it can calculate the cool down time itself on setting A, for instance if ive driven to the shop off boost it tells me 10 seconds, but if ive just arrived in town after a long 130mph blast, its reading 3.50 minutes cool down.

im not a believer in letting a car sit at idle to cool it down, so what i do is check what the timer is saying then for the last 5 miles before i get to destination i throttle back and cruise along until the timer calculates that cool down is no longer needed, much better imo
